Second week

The second week started with an activities that the children had to do. These activities consistedin draw some objects or landscapes and write under the picture the name of it. But they had to write the name in English, Maori and Spanish. So, I was the person who had to traduce the English word to the Spanish word.
Also, I started to teach P.E. to the kids. They are the youngest kids that I've never had, but it would easy adapt the exercises to them. And these kids are so glad for everything that the teacher does. This attitude that the kids had, allowed me that taught them was easy.
In class, the topics that they were working were so boring because were something easy and very repetitive. But, I was in NZ, so the things that were boring seemed to be so exotic and interesting: things like sums, spelling, writing stories... Everyday the kids had to work this kind of things.
In the class were some differents level of knowledge. Depending of the level, the difficult of the task had to be different. When the days passed, I was going to discover what was the level of each kid.

The teacher was so kind with me and told me that I could go with them to a school trip. This trip was consisted in go to the city to a theatre festival. It was nice, and very funny.

First week

Finally the first week of teaching practices started. I was so calm. At the beggining, when I arrived, I thought that when I had to start the practices, I would be so nervous. But, I was happy because I was going to teach, and that it’s one of the things that I love.
The first day I knew my teacher, and the class where I was going to be during the teaching practices.
The teacher is called Glen, and he is 35 more or less. He has long blonde hair, medium tall (like me), and, apparently, he’s kind and nice.
The kids are 5 and 6 years old. They are mixed, because in one class are two curses. So, they are “Kiwi” (the name of the level) and are formed by kids from 5 years (the last curse of Infantil in Spain) and from 1st of Primary.
The first thing that I thoug was that they are quiet and good children. And I wasn’t wrong. They are so obedient.

This first week I only saw what was the rutine of the class. But, one of the first thing that I said to the teacher was that I am a P.E. teacher. He was glad for hearing this, because in NZ there aren’t P.E. teacher. So, my task for the next week would be to teach P.E. to the kids.
